Receiving Oops! Error?

Have you received "Oops!  Elite gamer has encountered an error" after updating or installing Elite Gamer? Let's walk through the why and how of it and get you back to boosting your connection. 😎

ISSUE

This error is typically caused by other programs conflicting with Elite Gamer. Applications like Antivirus/Antimalware/Firewall programs can block Elite Gamer from using your network. Other Applications like LAN control software can have settings that interfere with Elite Gamer's operation.

SOLUTION

The first thing we need to do is make sure that Elite Gamer is added to exclusion lists for any Antivirus/Antimalware/Firewall program. You should consult the support site of said application if you run into any issues getting this added. For any LAN software, you should disable any optimization to avoid problems.

Note: This can also happen when your internet is slow to connect on startup. You can disable Startup with Windows in your Settings under Launch. After disabling, end the gpnc.exe process (see below) or restart your computer to fix it!

After you've made your changes, restart your computer to end any processes that may be lingering. You can also press Win + X and open your task manager, Find GPNC.exe in your background processes (Windows may group it under the Elite Gamer program), right-click and click on End Task. Once that is closed, you can reopen Elite Gamer.  If you still run into issues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the program using the following guides.
