When installing Elite Gamer, Windows users may encounter a message from Windows Defender SmartScreen stating that Windows protected your PC and prevented an unrecognized app from starting. This is due to Microsoft not yet having enough experience with the new installer to recognize it as being safe.
THE FIX IS IN
Should you get this message, simply click the "More Info" link. This will take you to a new screen that offers the option to Run Anyway. Click that button to proceed with the installation.
Pro Tip: If you don't see More info, you may have changed your Microsoft SmartScreen settings. What you would need to do to fix this is access App & Browser Control. In your search bar for Windows type App and click on:
Once opened, make sure that the Check apps and files setting is set to Warn. Then reopen the installer file located in your download folder.
