Elite Gamer is built to be optimized from the very first launch, but there are a couple of reasons why you would need to access the settings. Here we'll break down each setting and why you would use it!
HOW TO ACCESS
First things first, how do you access your settings? You can access them by clicking on your profile icon once you've signed in:
Or you can access them directly from the Dashboard page; clicking on the ⚙️ next to your username:
Now that you know how to get there, let's talk about each page.
On this page, you can find your profile details. You can change your player icon, reset your password, and view your current active game connections. Also, on this page, you'll find your linked accounts. With linked accounts, you can make your sign in a breeze!
The Interest menu is used to personalize your experience on in the feed and better game recommendations within GameBoost!
Session and Network
The Session and Network page is where you can customize your control in Elite Gamer. Here are some of your options and what they mean!
- Disable Nagle Algorithm (TCP-NODELAY)
We disable by default to reduce lag in TCP based games. Uncheck if your internet connection isn't great, as this could make things worse, or if you're experiencing issues.
- Enable Manual Multi-Server connection
Enabling this will let you override auto-selected servers and let you pick your own on a map. Use this to experiment with different connections to see which servers get you the best performance.
- Force Automatic Multi-Server connection
When this is on, it will force Elite Gamer to use Multi-Server Connection or a "Chained Connection" when launching a game using the automatic settings, this won't take effect for pathing overrides. By default, we keep this off to allow Elite Gamer to use both single and multi-server connections.
Here's where you can check for updates to Elite Gamer and control when Elite Gamer checks for updates!
The Launch page controls if Elite Gamer starts up with Windows or Auto-Hook on Game Launch (This means when you launch the game externally, it will automatically start the connection through Elite Gamer.)
