You've launched Elite Gamer, your game is launched, and your connection has been established to your game, but for some reason, your reporting seems wonky. There are a few reasons for this, mainly the nature of just connecting to the server, but there are a few things to unpack, so we'll start with ping.
PING
When you start a new game connection, it generally takes a few minutes before your latency/ping reading smooths out. This is true with or without Elite Gamer. Often, right after you get a game/server or when in the main menu, your ping will read very high or even 0ms! After a few minutes, your ping should settle to what the actual latency is.
THE BIG PICTURE
The latency or ping reading also only tells you part of the picture. Elite Gamer makes your game connection faster (lower average latency), smoother (less ping deviation), and stronger (less packet loss, and fewer hops to your game server) by using a proprietary network paired with machine learning to give you an optimized game traffic path The reporting on your performance screen will give you a sense of the various ways Elite Gamer optimizes your connection. Curious on why your in-game ping is showing different from your readings in Elite Gamer? Check out our article on that here.
